Instrument vibration

From Atomix

Short definition of Instrument vibration ([math]\displaystyle{ \hat{k} }[/math])
Vibration of the instrument affects measurement and parameter quality.

This is the common definition for Instrument vibration, but other definitions maybe discussed within the wiki.

Flow past the instrument as well as tether-effects can transfer vibration to the instrument and subsequently manifest themselves in the measurements. Vibrations are also induced by mechanical motions inside of an instrument system such as the buoyancy pump on a glider and the propellor on an autonomous underwater vehicle. This can be observed in velocity or shear spectra[1]
