This level of processing involves:
- splitting long timeseries into shorter segments that encompass the time and length scales of turbulence
- determine how (or if at all) missing samples should be replaced
- separating the turbulent signals from the total velocity signal
- rotating into the mean flow direction
- Evaluating stationarity, Taylor's hypothesis, etc ...
- Estimating surface wave velocities
