Some elements of quality control can only be done after spectra have been computed and should be done before final estimates of [math]\displaystyle{ \varepsilon }[/math] are reported:
- Reject time series segments as inadequate for turbulence analysis
- List them here or link to new pages?
- Reject spectra (or parts of spectra)
- Identify frame interferences from the epsilon vales
- Plot spectra from all three velocity components to check for large-scale anisotropy
Here's another list of various quality indicators based on the estimated [math]\displaystyle{ \varepsilon }[/math]:
- Anisotropy
- Spectral slope of fitted spectral observations (?)
- Misfit criteria
- Propagated error from the confidence level of the spectra
