Wavenumber response of the shear probe
From Atomix
The probe-response correction depends on the dimensions of the shear probe. For a commonly used shear probe the spectrum is corrected for the spatial averaging of the shear probe by multiplying it by the factor correction where = 50 cpm and is the wavenumber expressed in units of cpm [1]. The correction reaches a factor of 10 at a wavenumber of 150 cpm, and it is not recommended to use spectral data beyond this wavenumber unless the probe is small and is larger than 50 cpm.
