Short definition of Large-scale turbulence anisotropy
Turbulence spectral properties become anisotropic (different amongst directions), which tends to affect the largest turbulence scales first.

This is the common definition for Large-scale turbulence anisotropy, but other definitions maybe discussed within the wiki.
