Some elements of quality control can only be done after spectra have been computed and should be done before final estimates of epsilon are reported:

  • Reject time series segments as inadequate for tubulence analysis
  • Reject spectra (or parts of spectra)
  • Identify frame interferences from the epsilon vales
  • Plot spectra from all three velocity components to check for large-scale anisotropy
