Segmenting datasets

This level of processing involves:

• splitting long timeseries into shorter segments that encompass the time and length scales of turbulence
• determine how (or if at all) missing samples should be replaced
• separating the turbulent signals from the total velocity signal
• rotating into the mean flow direction
• Evaluating stationarity, Taylor's hypothesis, etc ...
• Estimating surface wave velocities
