Annotated turbulence spectrum

CynthiaBluteau (talk) 15:35, 29 October 2021 (CEST) Please add an annotated spectrum in lieu of this published example that shows both the inertial and viscous subranges of velocities and velocity gradients. Correct labels.

2021-12-01, Rolf added a few notes. I do not think that we need to worry about the y-axis, and the minimum wavenumber. That can be presented in a section on how one calculates a spectrum. Besides, I added the units of spectrum and so there is no need to discuss the y axis.

CynthiaBluteau (talk) 21:04, 1 December 2021 (CET) We will eventually have a period of internal peer-review of all pages eventually when all subgroups are ready. At the moment, this page contains a discussion of variable swaps that pertains to Taylor's Frozen Turbulence, and some concepts about spectral analysis (integrating spectra is variance). If this page will not contain information about the energy cascade, and how energy goes to die then it can be deleted.

Another option is having a list of all the various forms of Turbulence spectrum, with hyperlinks to their respective pages (e.g., Nasmyth, Pope's model, Luznik one from Gargett etc)
