[[User:Brian scannell|Brian scannell]] ([[User talk:Brian scannell|talk]]) 12:18, 10 December 2021 (CET) Under motion control, I suggest including a comment about mounting the ADCP in a streamlined buoy or frame designed to maintain steady orientation to the flow.  Open frames can oscillate a lot, spherical buoys are better, but a streamlined buoy should be best. Oscillations over the period of the burst result in the background flow seen by a beam varying over the burst, potentially introducing a bias if the background flow is sheared.
