These benchmark datasets will cover a range of marine environments, background stratification and flow fields. The netcdf files have four levels corresponding to the following stages of data processing:
- "Raw" data: Radial beam velocities and other measured parameters (e.g. amplitudes and correlations). Note: instrument-specific binary data is not included.
- Pre-processed cleaned-up "raw" data
- Calculated structure function parameters
- Turbulence dissipation rate and quality control parameters
