The bias induced by the Goodman [1] vibration-coherent noise removal algorithm is corrected by dividing the spectrum by <math>1-\frac{1.02N_v}{N_f}</math> where <math>N_v</math> is the number of signals that are used to remove coherent noise in the shear-probe spectrum and <math>N_f</math> is the number of fft-segments that are used to estimate the shear spectrum [2].
